I am a full-stack software engineer with a passion for building and scaling robust software with a strong visual identity. With over six years of experience in both front-end and back-end development, I know a thing or two on how to develop a user-friendly web app or build a scalable event-driven backend. I enjoy being challenged and love learning new technologies. I am a pragmatic perfectionist, an analytical problem solver and find fulfillment in motivating the people around me.
Currently, I work as a Senior Software Engineer at Homegate.ch, Switzerland's leading real estate platform. Before, I worked as an independent Software Engineer at imec, an R&D and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies. I also worked for In The Pocket, a Digital Product Studio where I contributed to a number of high-visible digital products, first as an engineer later as an architect.
I am Belgian and based in Zürich (Switzerland). One of the things I really enjoy is having good food over a good conversation. I have a broad range of interests and know for a fact that the future is going to be more exciting than ever. Occasionally I also like to do some public speaking.
In 2012, I obtained a Master in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. During my master's I studied as an exchange student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Most of my degree has been marked by my interest in distributed, mobile paradigms and algorithms. Therefore, situated in the context of mobile ad-hoc networks, my master's thesis is titled as `Managing the Object Soup in Ambient-Oriented Applications'.
